At the end of 2015, I found that I was constantly forgetting things. I was a working mom and wife of a graduate student. We had two beautiful children- a brand new baby and a two year old. With all that was going on, I could not remember appointments. I knew that I couldn't just blame it all on "mom brain." What was really going on was that I was overwhelmed. A lot.

At the time, I didn't have a smart phone, so scheduling things on Google calendar wasn't quite a practical option. Our finances were a mess. I couldn't remember my grocery list. I would write a list of questions for the pediatrician only to leave the scrap of paper I wrote on sitting next to the fridge.

In short, I was a mess. A Google search turned up the In The Leafy Treetops website and I instantly knew what I wanted for Christmas-- a planner. Not just any planner, however. I wanted THIS planner.

This planner had everything I wanted. A place to list appointments. A place to list what we were having for dinner and what I need to buy at the grocery store. A place to keep a budget. A place to keep notes from church meetings. Boxes to write quotes and scriptures that I studying during the week. A place to keep track of my kids, holidays, Christmas gifts. A place for everything and everything in its place.

When Christmas came, I was so excited to crack open my new planner and get started. Although I had never been very successful with keeping my planner filled, this planner was different. I kept with it and have kept with it for four years! I think the difference in this planner has been that there really is a place for everything. I rely on this planner to help me keep track of daily life. I LOVE this planner.

Over the years, I have shared my planner with a lot of my friends, some of them even buying their own and we still "planner nerd" it up when we are together, showing each other our layouts and enjoying the ways that we make our planner personal for us. That is another thing that I love about THIS planner-- there are so many options for personalizing it to fit MY unique needs.

My planner has been by my side as I have taken control of my finances, planned my workouts and meals so that I could lose 85 pounds, and helped me focus on my family rather than remembering the millions of things we have to remember as moms.
